NEW WINDOWS, PAINT, RAILINGS, LANDSCAPING, DOOR, LIGHTING, ETC…..
WE JUST FINISHED THE LAST PROJECT…HARDSCAPE!
THE NEW WALKWAY AND DRIVEWAY WAS THE LAST ON THE LIST.

    1. Haha-nancy, I love "hearing" your words! You are hilarious! Thx for liking the transformation. I obsessed for a very long time about this house. Every decision was ridiculously thought out.....why is it so much easier when it's someone else's house?? I am yearning for another personal project!!

  6. Garage door the color of your shutters. Upstairs window at the gable by garage door with a large oversized metal window box so entirely fabulous it never needs plants. Espaliered evergreens between drive/house at the garage, to 8'. Flag moved to post left of current location, will enlarge the door area and emphasize flag more. Pair of closed shutters on brick wall under covered porch to warm the space. Ground cover added to mulched zone, soon no more mulch or dead brown.

Best, I know who you are from the curb. Nothing needs to be undone. Don't know if you need a dovecote at the peak of the large gable in front without seeing your interior.

Light fixtures are jewelry for the landscape. James Johnson is at Scott Antique Market most months in Atlanta. He has rescued historic gas light fixtures for decades and turns them into electric interior or exterior lights. Treat yourself to one.

When clients have been in magazines then are scheduled for an open garden my job includes creating action lists for already gorgeous gardens, like yours.

Christopher Lloyd, Great Dixter, said it best, "The garden dies when the gardener dies." I think you would like Great Dixter's Facebook page.

Gardens must be refined, just as interiors are. We never stop.
