MY NEW GUEST ROOM...GETTING THERE...

DO YOU REMEMEBER WHAT THIS SPACE USED TO LOOK LIKE? IT WAS MY OLD OFFICE...COMPLETELY INEFFICIENT USE OF SPACE.....SEE BLOG BELOW AND YOU'LL SEE MY POINT!

SO LAST SUMMER I DECIDED TO SWAP MY OFFICE WITH THE GUEST ROOM...BEST MOVE I EVER MADE. NOW MY OFFICE IS A FANTASTIC WORK SPACE WHICH I RECENTLY BLOGGED ABOUT......

OKAY, SO THE NEW GUESTROOM?? STILL TWEAKING BUT ITS GETTING THERE!

 I RECOVERED THE HEADBOARD IN AN ANTIQUE LINEN VELVET AND REUSED MY OLD MASTER BEDROOM DRAPERY PANELS. WENT FOR A MORE NUETRAL PALETTE SO I COULD HAVE A PRETTY CONTRAST AGAINST THE DARKER WOOD FURNITURE.
AND THE PAINTING? DOESNT BELONG IN HERE...AND ITS A WORK IN PROGRESS THAT I JUST BORROWED FOR COLOR!


 THE DARK FURNITURE ARE PIECES WE INHERITED. THEY WORK PERFECTLY IN THE GUEST ROOM SINCE I WANTED A SOFT SOPHISTICATED LOOK.


 MY DRESSER FROM GROWING UP....

JUST CAME BACK FROM SOUTH BEACH AND GOT THESE SHELL FORMATIONS FROM WINGS! I LOVE CHEESY BEACH SOUVENIR SHOPS FOR THEIR BEAUTIFUL AND CHEAP ACCESSSORIES!!

    Love the lamp and even the work in progress. I can't wait for the "son away at college" redo I have in line for next Fall. ;)

    I love the neutral palette.... makes me want to just run and jump in that bed! LOVE your silver bowl of shells too..... gorgeous! Ha!.... I'm with Jennifer on the Wings.... I've never set foot in one of those.... but I will now. :)
